IESNJ 2017 Kick-off Meeting
September 26, 2017 6pm

Greetings IES NJ Members and Friends!

Our kick-off meeting has a new location!

We will be hosting our dinner at the Lighting Expo* in Freehold New Jersey.

Our guest speaker this year is Emily Gorecki, owner of Gorecki Design Associates, LLC, a service which offers Architectural Lighting Design for both residential and commercial design, as well as landscape lighting and site lighting.

Based around residential lighting design, Emily categorizes the three trending "stages" of projects she works on pre-construction, mid construction, and design with an architect or Designer) and the advantages and disadvantages of being brought in at each stage.

Also to be discussed are budgetary conversations necessary with the homeowners, general product availability guidelines, and basic design concepts using adjustable recessed when laying out a proper plan.

Finally, Emily goes through using technology as a tool to help create conceptual plans and drawings that help the client visualize their completed lighting.
